INVENT A MOUSE THAT WORKS ON THE AIR

There is no doubt that technology is advancing day by day. Who does not remember, the mice (mouse) having ball, then LEDs, then and now laser mice do not even need to be in contact with the table to work.

So last week unveiled Logitech MX Air, which can be brandished in the air in the style of Wii. Equipped with motion sensors that can detect changes of position in space, the MX Air can be used as a conventional mouse but also grip and to move the pointer while we, for example, sitting on the couch ...

Even recognizes gestures that serve as shortcuts to certain functions, change songs, video, etc ... -. For example, to move a song to do a circular motion clockwise to decrease volume, press the volume button and move the device to the left. It's a great idea, and not just for media playback. Use the mouse on the table can eventually cause wrist injuries. Using it in the air can hold your hand in a more relaxed and natural.

Also thinking of everything, a control algorithm eliminates any movement that considers involuntary or too small. The cursor will remain so still on the screen, even the hand shake.

CREATE THE CARPET THAT MAKES THINGS INVISIBLE TO

Two teams of researchers at the University of California at Berkeley and Cornell University New York, has designed "invisibility carpets" that conceal visually for any object that is placed under them. While the carpet itself can still be seen, the bulge created by the object underneath it disappears from view.

Projecting a light beam on the bulge shows a reflection identical to the reflected beam on a flat surface, which means that the object itself essentially becomes invisible.

This new cloaking device suggests that not only are viable materials capable of invisibility, but also represents a major step towards transformation optics, opening the door to manipulating light at will to create more powerful microscopes and computers more rapid.

With a more precise manufacturing, the new design approach should lead to a material that operates in visible light, in other words, generate literal invisibility to human eyes.

T SUPER SCIENTISTS CREATED A BULLET

A bulletproof shirt, the kind that are only seen in comics or movies, became a reality, thanks to research by a team of scientists from the University of South Carolina (USA), China and Switzerland. Brains created cottons resistant to impacts of projectiles, ideal for dangerous cities.

These shirts, unlike the classic bullet-proof vests are comfortable and fit the body of people. The key is boron carbide, the third hardest element of nature, which reinforces the fibers of this super resistant clothing. The material is the same as is used to protect the tanks.
